I have these four pairs of Predators for the simple fact that I forgot I had them. I’d like to say that I keep them just in case I leave my spikes somewhere, but I can’t. I’d like to say that they’re for memories sake, but they’re not. You might ask, “Why does she keep all of her cleats?” Well, I honestly have no freaking clue. That’s right: I have four generations of Predator cleats. Yikes… I might need a therapist.Īnyway, as I walked my old friends out to the garage, you know what I found? The pair of spikes I wore BEFORE the pair that I found hidden away in my practice bag! This pair of Predators was green and black. Maybe that’s why I can never seem to get rid of them. They end up becoming another teammate to me. They’re there through everything every practice, every game. I might be the only one, but I get a little attached to my Predators. I know this is going to sound strange, but it was kind of emotional. I had COMPLETELY forgotten that they were in there! It was kind of like a déjà vu thing: taking them out of my bag took me right back to my freshman season. They had been tucked away in my practice bag for almost two years. But as I continued, I found my pair of shoes that I had BEFORE my pair from last season, purple and white Predators. I took out my new shoes, black and pink Predators, that I got this season as well as my old pink, blue and white Predator pair from last season (I kept them just in case my new shoes gave me trouble). I took out all of my bags and began to empty them. The other day, I was cleaning out my closet because I had to make sure I had all of my uniforms to turn into my coach for the end of the season. In this case, I’m talking about my old soccer cleats. In my case, I’m more of a forget-that-I-had-it-so-I-kept-it-for-a-longer-time-than-normal-er. I’m not a real hoarder like you see on TLC.
